Welcome to our Department of Chemistry. The Department started in 1968. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Our undergraduate and postgraduate programs are planned according to the growing demand of chemists in the various fields. The post-graduation course started in 2014 with three specializations viz., inorganic, organic, physical chemistry and the B.Sc. (Hons) Chemistry started in 2016.
The Department has a dynamic, vibrant and highly stimulating teaching environment which is achieved through a blend of highly qualified faculty, who are committed to teaching and scientific discovery. Our Laboratories are equipped with the modern and automated technology. The instruments like UV-Visible spectrophotometer, IR spectrophotometer, Polarimeter and Flame photometer etc., are available to facilitate the students under the guidance of highly qualified faculty and supporting staff. The main goal of the department is to impart the quality education and inculcate the attitude of applied research in the minds of new entrants.
