About IIC (Preamble)
Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India has established ‘MHRD’s Innovation Cell (MIC)’ to systematically foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). It focuses to inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas. MIC has encouraged creation of ‘Institution’s Innovation Council (IICs)’ across selected HEIs to promote innovation in the Institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation promotion eco-system in the campuses. Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib has been selected for establishing Institution Innovation Council (IIC) (Dec, 2023) as per the norms and directions of Innovation Cell, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.
Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib offers infrastructure facilities and platforms for students and faculty members to foster and cultivate an environment conducive to innovation and startup initiatives on campus. These include activities like generating ideas, problem-solving, developing proof of concepts, implementing design thinking principles, managing intellectual property rights (IPR), and handling projects at pre-incubation and incubation stages.
