B.Voc. Programmes
The University Grants Commission launched this scheme on skills development based higher education as part of college/university education, leading to Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) degree with multiple exit options such as Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Degree under the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF). One of the most significant advantages of a B.Voc. degree is that it equips students with an industry-ready skill set. This makes the transition from academia to the professional world smoother. With a B.Voc. degree, graduates can work in both public and private organizations. A B.Voc. programme aims at imparting education that builds specific job skills in students so that they can serve the industries better. After completing a degree or diploma in B.Voc. course, candidates can start working in their chosen field immediately. Due to its practical industry exposure B.Voc. is the best degree after 12th as compared to other traditional degrees of Commerce, Science. The B.Voc. degree is at par with other bachelor's degrees offered by the UGC and students can opt for any competitive exam or course where the eligibility requirement is a bachelor's qualification. The college runs the following B.Voc. programmes:
Bachelor of Vocation (Software Development) – B.Voc.(SD)
Bachelor of Vocation (Food Processing) –B.Voc.(FP)
