The department was set up in 1969.The Department of Defence Studies is one of the prominent subject in the course of humanities. The department also organizes guest lectures for students to encourage them for higher studies. The subject provides a vast knowledge regarding National Security, Various aspects of Warfare, Civil Defence and a part of International Relation. Practical skills Like Map reading; section formation. Which leads the career of student towards Indian Armoured Forces. It is also very essential in a daily life. Practical lessons regarding the subject with models of dummy battle Fields are given too. This department is running very successfully under the supervision of Assistant Professor Sandeep Kumar.
