Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) is an innovative cell under Ministry of Education (MoE) at AICTE, New Delhi. It is established to promote interdisciplinary research on all aspects of IKS, preserve and disseminate IKS for further research and societal applications. It will actively engage for spreading the rich heritage of our country and traditional knowledge in the field of Arts and literature, Agriculture, Basic Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Architecture, Management, Economics etc.The Indian knowledge system seeks to encourage and enable more study in a number of areas, including holistic health, psychology, neuroscience, nature, the environment, and sustainable development, in order to address current societal problems. The main goal of learning from the past and integrating Indian knowledge systems is to use our ancient knowledge systems, which are characterized by an unbroken tradition of knowledge transfer and a distinctive point of view, to solve current and emerging problems in India and the world (Bharatiyu Drishti).

Gatka (Traditional Sikh Marshal Art
Gatka, the traditional Sikh martial art, embodies a rich heritage of combat techniques, spiritual discipline, and cultural identity. Rooted in the martial traditions of ancient India and further developed by the Sikh Gurus, Gatka emphasizes not only physical prowess but also mental focus, moral integrity, and spiritual fortitude. Practiced with a distinctive blend of swordplay, stick fighting, and unarmed combat, Gatka serves as a means of self-defense, physical conditioning, and character development. Central to Gatka training is the concept of "Shastar Vidiya" or the art of weaponry, wherein practitioners learn to wield weapons with precision and grace while adhering to principles of chivalry and respect for all beings. Beyond its martial applications, Gatka holds deep cultural significance for the Sikh community, serving as a living testament to their martial heritage and resilience in the face of adversity. Today, Gatka continues to thrive as both a martial art and a symbol of Sikh identity, fostering unity, discipline, and spiritual growth among its practitioners around the world.
