The department of Agriculture was established in 2011 for the undergraduate course in B.Sc. Agriculture, is one of the most dynamic department of the college. Ever since its inception, the department has been the hub of academic excellence through some great teachers who have laid a sound foundation as well as the cream of students of the region. Thus we are confident that our students will emerge as assets not only to this institution, but also to the country at large.
The motive of our department is to provide practical knowledge along with the theoretical to ensure the quality education and carry out leading edge research in discipline of Agriculture. Agriculture also has one research project. Which is funded by DST (SYST) . The department has excellent infrastructure, well established labs, modern field technology and teaching faculty to support the research and teaching activities. Currently, Agriculture department have two more courses i.e. vocational course in food processing and Diploma in Agriculture, which have good future scope. Along with academic knowledge we train our students to face the challenges of life by providing many value added courses to enhance their career prospects. Interaction among students, parents and staff, along with a Training and Placement Cell ensures a bright future to the students.
